So last night I was strolling around 24 hour Kmart Blacktown at 9:30pm, coming from work… Kmart usually is so boring so I hardly go there these days, and the only reason I was there last night was to claim back my money minus an $11 processing free from a layby that they cancelled since I didn’t make payments on time. hahahaha…
Anyway on my way out I spotted these mice, the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 … They may look like an ordinary mouse (which they are), but this particular model of mouse is preferred by a large number of Counter-strike players.. Its actually an old mouse thats been around for a while but is still popular.. I’ve been wanting to get one for a while (a few months) except I just couldn’t push myself to pull the trigger, since they’re like $40+ in the computer stores.. Anyway last night, as I walked past I noticed Kmart had them on clearance for $35 … Now, from working at Kmart ages ago, I learnt that when something goes on clearance, the price gets lower and lower about every 2 weeks and sometimes the staff don’t change the shelf price tags with the new lower prices, so sometimes the actual price could be way lower than the shelf tag shows. Back in the day when I worked, sometimes there’d be a bike with a tag for like $60 on clearance, but if you scanned it, it would come up as like $5! And some customers would actually get prices like that because staff didn’t notice and reraise the price on the computer system… Anyway back to the mice, I took it up to the price scanner and they came up for $20! And so on impulse, I went and got 3 of the 4 mice on the shelf and bought them on the spot. hahaha.. Now I have 3 mice and I don’t even really need any. hahaha.
Anyway, if you play counter-strike or first person shooters, you might like this mouse. Go and get it from Kmart only $20 but there’s probably none left cos I took em suckers.

So while I was treadmillin’ it out this morning for our work’s 6 week pedometer challenge, the delivery guy came and delivered my shiny new Iphone 4. Seriously, how beautiful do they look! Anyway, I called up telstra to say I was ready to activate and port my number over from Optus and that got processed. Then I tried to put my screen protector on and kinda failed, there were 2 obvious specks of dust that got caught under… damn I suck at screen protectors.
After that I went to JB Hifi and bought a set of screen protectors, for both front and back. This time, I took my sweet sweet time.. took like 5 mins to make sure there were no specks of dust, then I put it on. Front came out 100% perfect… you can’t even tell there’s a screen protector on there! The back, hmm I’d rate it about 98% success.. If you’re gonna put a screen protector on, take your time! After that I put my Iphone in its new home – An Ottterbox Commuter Series case that I bought last week in preparation… Got it from JB Hifi for $39.95. When I researched on it, I realised that its definitely more protective than it is flashy and good looking, but thats what I was after. When I actually put it on my Iphone though, I realised it actually looks pretty good! Like awesome good. VERY SLEEK… When I took it to work today, I got like 3 complements on how good looking the case is… Then when I got home my dad complemented the case too.. I guess I made the right choice…
PICS:
Look at the pics, the case is made up of a soft rubber cover, then after you put that on, you put on the hard plastic cover.. TOTAL PROTECTION! BTW, it looks way better than the pics show. WAY better.
Anyway, coming from a Nokia 97, I can say that I’m totally satisfied with the Iphone 4 (BTW I recommend no one to ever get a Nokia N97! It is slow and painful!). It is beautiful, has so many apps available that I know I’ll never get bored, and is just so user friendly… No regrets on getting this phone, and so far no regrets on moving to Telstra
Peace.
p.s the case doesn’t look or feel thick in real life.. Feels just right!

So I recently began flight training with Air Combat Australia. SO AWESOME! Kinda scary, but I’m used to it now. Had two lessons already and I’m training in the Piper Tomahawk PA-38 Aircraft.
Seriously, I should have began flight training earlier, but its real expensive, which is why I’ve only tried it now, using some of my weekly pay and having a lesson a week. Pretty pricey stuff! But I feel that its worth it so its all gravy baby!
So far I’ve spent:
Lesson 1 : $319 1.1 hrs
Lesson 2 : $296 1.0 hrs
Log book : $29.50
TOTAL: $644.50..
Expensive aye? Much more expensive than music lessons! Anyway, if it gets too much for me, I’ll have to slow myself down to once a fortnight. But I hope it doesn’t have to go to that :\

So whats been up lately!? NOT MUCH at all. Pretty much work, eat and sleep. Rinse, repeat. Sounds boring but its not that bad. Work is entertaining, fun and not that hard all.
So I’ve been jogging. Just started this week and already gone 4 times. Now jogging IS pretty boring! But a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do aye! Ah. It’s so hard but because of the silence and boringness. So I try to reflect on my highs and lows of each day. And here they are:
Friday 20/08/10
High – Getting a haircut and having the best head massage as my hair was washed and shampoo’ed. omg. AWESOME. just, the BEST.
Low – Falling asleep driving home, so many microsleeps! Realising my hair was getting cut shorter than I was expecting, and not having the guts to say anything. lol
SUN 22/08/10
Highs – Joking around at work heaps of laughing , having some guests super satisfied with my service, finishing work at 11am, eating a meatball roll on my way home -TASTY! Going for a jog instead of being lazy.
Lows – Waking up at 2:34 instead of 1:30 and just having enough time to change and leave my house str8 away, sleepy drive to work which is rare (usually only sleepy driving home, hardly ever driving to work), falling asleep on the way home – a few microsleeps! waking up to the sound of the tires going over the lines!
And thats my days. At least I got these written down so I can reflect on it someday aye. Atm I’m hungry. My parents have a CFC household downstairs and I cbb to go down and get food, but now they started their meeting I’m gonna go . Gotta sleep very soon as I gotta wake up at 1:30am again. Its already 7:50pm EEPS!
So another week starting. Full of work, eat and sleep I bet. At least I have YCOM household on Wed night and hopefully another flying lesson on THU. Should be sweet
Life is aiight. This is what my schedj looks like:
23 MON – WORK 0430 -1200
24 TUE – WORK 1200 -1930
25 WED – WORK 1200 – 1930
26 THU – OFF, flying lesson?
27 FRI – WORK 0430 – 1200
28 SAT – WORK 0430 – 1030
29 SUN – WORK 1200 – 1930
LoL 1 day off. GG

Well well.. haven’t posted here in ages.. um.. yeah.. totally been too busy working and all! And when I’m not working, I’m exhausted from my early wake ups and all I want to do is sleep, or if I have spare time, spend it with my family.
Anyway finally two days off after 15 days of straight work. Worth it though, money wise. Two weeks ago 48 hours, last week 60.5 hours.. This week back down to 29.5 hours… back to normal..
So anyway onto my two days.. um..
Yesterday I started the day waking up as you do. And I called and booked my car in for service the next day(today). I used my morning to wash two baskets of clothes, and ate breakfast while watching T.V. In the arvo I got my car washed at Elegance car wash and restaurant in Penrith. $40 (the most I’ve ever spent for a car wash), and it came out looking pretty, inside and out. Only thing is they lost the little cap that goes over the cigarette plug socket. DAMN! After that I had to go to Maryong to pick up my parent’s tax returns from the accountant, then to Rooty Hill to the bank to submit the cheques. After that it was hometime. Cleaned up around the house a bit, and then for the evening went out to Parramatta and had dinner with Kevin Wong at Carne Station, a cook yourself Korean BBQ place. Benjo was meant to come with but he didn’t show cos some guys buying rims off him were late to show up. After dinner, we were meant to play board games as well but since Benjo didn’t show I just went home, and when I got home I was pretty much dead tired so I slept, which was at like 10:30pm.
Today I woke up at 5:30 and couldn’t get back to sleep so I got up and bludged on the computer for a bit. Then when it was 7:15 I went and got my car serviced at Ford. While waiting for ages, I was on my laptop connected to the net using my phones internet which was pretty sweet and it never cut out. So I was just youtubing, facebooking and twittering just spending time. After that I went to the car wash place to ask about the cap they lost and she took down my number, and said if they can’t find it they’ll pay the replacement cost ($10.50 I told them, cos I asked Ford when I got my car serviced). After that, I went home got ready, and drove off to Camden for my first flying lesson! My instructor Karan gave me a long briefing on principles of flight and then we went flying. I’m training in a Piper Tomahawk and its an old one as well, riding in it gave me chills! Seriously, when you go up suddenly, you get light headed, and when you go down suddenly you instantly get the rollercoaster feeling. its crazy good! hahaha.. But yeah it was honestly scary, I wasn’t expecting that. Here’s hoping I’ll get used to it soon. My next lesson will probs be next wednesday or thursday..
After my lesson, I went to Norwest to pick up something for my mum, then I drove home. But not till after I made a quick stop at Gloria Jeans for a large white hot chocolate for the drive home. When I got home, I went jogging for half an hour as I’m committing to losing all the weight I’ve gained since starting my current job (about 8KG! Thats what having money does to you). So yeah thats life. Its 7:27pm and time to sleep as I start work at 4:30am tomorrow.
PEACE

GOOD NEWS for everyone! Hot n’ Spicy KFC is available from most if not all KFC’s in NSW for a limited time!!!!! Anyone who loves hot and spicy KFC will know that only three or so KFC joints in Sydney CBD stock it all year round. BUT at the moment, its available everywhere!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!

So the story goes, I was on my way driving home from work today, just cruising around actually, was just driving around with no real focus where I was going as long as I was driving West so I’d get closer and closer to home. Suddenly in the corner of my eye, I spotted the bright red colours of KFC. Now usually, my eyes wouldn’t react at all but this time, my eyes caught a glimpse of the words HOT & SPICY!!!! I quickly switched on my left blinker and pulled in, as my heart began to race, while my mind recollected memories of all my awesome KFC hot n’ spicy days. I got inside and got served by Jezebel who was quick to give me a perfect 2 piece feed. She didn’t miss a beat – my chips, drink, chicken, tissue, spoon and refresher towel were all there! I went back in my car, sat down and opened my KFC box. From the first glance I could already tell this was going to taste like heaven. The coating looked so crisp, and the colours were perfect! I took my first bite and almost died right there from how awesome it tasted. And thats my story. YES I got a piece of food heaven today!
Seriously, it was the CRISPIEST and TASTIEST KFC I’ve ever had. I swear! For those who’ve tasted Jollibee chicken in the Philippines, I can say that this tasted as good or better! OH MY GOSH so happy. Probably gonna go back tomorrow! MUAHAHAHAHA. I recommend everyone to go there now and get a 2 piece feed. You wont regret it!
Hot n’ Spicy KFC always has a place in my heart

So since dipping my foot into the world of photography late last year and getting my first DSLR camera, I’ve been wanting a proper computer monitor to do my post processing on. Early this year Dell announced the release of a 27inch IPS screen and if you don’t know, IPS screens are the best colour displaying monitors available. IPS screens display more colours and are more vibrant than your regular TN lcd screens, and so I’ve been dreaming to get a Dell U2711 for ages. Finally I saved up for one and its just arrived this afternoon! Still haven’t unboxed it yet cos I’m still trying to figure out how to set it up!
Look at the box: Dell U2711 has arrived picture! Might not look that big in the photo but in real life its a pretty big box. How exciting!

So I’ve been doing this for the past few weeks… And I’ve found that I’m getting a lot more stuff done, that I would have otherwise forgotten since I have one of the lamest memories out! My memory retention these days feels so short so I needed to do something to fight it! I know sometimes I’m driving home and I’m one minute away and in my head I think of something I have to do as soon as I get home… Then the next day I’m driving again and suddenly I get a flashback and think ‘Oh crap I forgot to do that thing yesterday!’. Lol seriously, that happens to me so often. I’ve been meaning to send an application for something for weeks now but I keep forgetting.
So what is it that I’m doing? WELL If you really want to know, I’ll tell you! I’ve been carrying around a notepad and pen in my right front pants pocket.
The ones you can see in the picture are the exact items I’m using. Every time I think of something I need to do, I write it down. Or anytime I think of something I want to remember I write it down. Each day when I use it for the first time I write today’s date at the top of a page and get scribbling! The notebook I’m using is a tiny one with leather covers from Officeworks which sells for $8.95. The leather cover is awesome because in the past, I’ve tried using the tiny flip top spiral notepads with thin cardboard covers and they break down after like 2 weeks. This leather notebook seems like its gonna last a long time. So if you want to follow me, get the proper one from officeworks and you won’t be sorry! The awesome looking blue pen is also from officeworks and it was only $1.00. The pen writes in real thin black ink as well so it doesn’t take too much space per page. These two items love each other and make a real cute couple. hahaha.. So I recommend you get them if you want or need to remember more stuff each day. It definitely works!
Oh and btw, I stole this idea off Richard Branson, founder of Virgin. He talks about it in his Autobiography. So I started doing it so I could be cool like him. You should do it too so you can be cool like me! haha.
Peace!

So life is still sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet as. I just can’t be bothered to blog about it lol.
Blogging is harder than I expected. When I’m out and about I often think ‘Wow I want to blog about this’, then by the time I get home, I can’t be bothered! HAHAHA. But anyway I just gotta push myself and it’ll all work out.
Hmm. What can I write today…? I’ll just start spitting random thoughts out from my head. Firstly whats been goin’ on at work. If you don’t know, I work at the airport which is AWESOME. Pretty much most of the people that go through there are happy chappy’s running in ‘Holiday mode’ so its such a pleasant environment to work in. I really enjoy it a lot. The job is great, the people are great and the place is great. Sa’ll so good! The other day I saw and spoke to a celebrity by the name of Summer Glau! She’s starred in Terminator 3 Sarah Connor Chronicles and a lot of TV Shows. I didn’t recognise her at the time which sucks, and I wouldn’t have recognised her at all if it wasn’t for my work mate telling me. HAHA but yeah, I feel special now, since I saw a celebrity and even spoke to her (I said ‘You can go in this queue thanks!’). hahaha. The other day, Pamela Anderson walked through the airport as well, but I wasn’t at work yet so I missed out! DAMN! Hahaha Oh well sa’ll good.
Today at work I had an extremely easy and enjoyable job. I had to deliver newspapers to the various gates, since our airline gives free newspapers to premium economy guests. So I was the paper boy. And for my 5 hour shift, it was fun, laid back and awesome. Super cold weather today though which bugged everyone but me! I was warm as in my Husky jacket.
Other random thoughts I’d like to mention. I wish everyone would just get Twitter already. It feels like AUSSIES are lagging behind in a time where technology is moving forward so fast. Twitter is an awesome social media service and I wish more people would use it. I’d also like to mention another site called Foursquare which lets you track your locations so your friends can see where you are! Pretty interesting and I’ve been using it everyday and I like it a lot! I’ve been trying to find more social media sites to sign up to so I can keep updated with whats going on online.
Finally I was able to order the Dell 27inch U2711 IPS monitor that I’ve been wanting for months now! I’ll take a picture when it arrives tomorrow! OMG OMG How exciting It’s gonna look so good!
And last of all, had a YCOM meeting yesterday at Krispy Kreme with Eman, Gel and Mez and we were able to get the YFC Newsletter happening and hoping to release it next Monday the 5th of July! How cool So good!
